The DS1922L Thermochron iButton is work horse of the temperature data logger product line. It is serviceable in nearly all applications with its wide temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F) and 8KB in memory capacity. The temperature readings are stored in either 0.5° or 0.0625°C resolution. The 8KB memory stores either 4096 or 8192 readings depending on the resolution selected. The DS1922L records temperature readings at a user determined logging rate of 1 second to 273 hours. It is easy to get started with the DS1922L. All you need is a Thermochron Starter Kit and computer with Windows.

Comparison of satellite, thermochron and air temperatures at Summit, Greenland, during the winter of 2008/09 – Greenland’s winter is a bit chilly for the DS1922L’s -40°C minimum operating temperature. However, the DS1922L still provides a “highly accurate method of determining surface temperature.” We just suggest a slightly warmer environment.
