The DS1922E Thermochron iButton is specialized for monitoring extremely high temperatures around 110 to 140°C (230 to 284°F). However, it is capable of monitoring temperature as low as 15°C (59°F). The 8K reading capacity more than surpasses the needs typical cooking/sterilization validation processes. The logging rate, resolution, start time, and alarm thresholds can be reconfigured with each new deployment. This flexibility enables the loggers to be in many different validation of a cooking or sterilization processes. The DS1922E Thermochron iButtons can be configured to:

- Logging rates of 1 second to 273 hours
- Record readings at 0.5 or 0.0625°C
- Pick when the logger starts (or have it start recording when a temperature alarm occurs)
The DS1922T will be a preferrable option in the majority of applications not surpassing 125°C. Since, the DS1922T’s offers better accuracy over its full temperature range. <insert accuracy/range comparison>
